If it’s not stitched or sewn (unless it’s part of a mixed media adventure), it lives here. Some creations may wander between rooms—when they do, you’ll find them in both, because creativity doesn’t like to stay in one place for long. 3D Greeting cards
May thus far has been rather insane! But I saw some Pinterest posts and wanted to learn how to create the 3d greeting on the Card Front. I made two different ones that almost look like a pair. I found the technique enjoyable and mindful, albeit we did go the pretty way round! 🙂
We are hoping to release a Youtube video on the technique which we created with our Cricut Maker and also provide some SVG cutting files as a free download here in The Knicknack Shack. We will update as that happens. The holographic border on the grey card looks different from every angle – gorgeous!

Gentle Giraffe Pop-up card
This March was so full of creative joy. This card was so much fun to make.
The file was downloaded from “Dreaming Tree” who can be found on Creative Fabrica and the card went together like a dream and looks so jaw-dropping when it is finished! All the pieces were cut on the Cricut machine in different colours.

Floral wreath
March was a busy bustling month in the Craft Room. Many birthdays to craft for and Easter just around the corner. Easter inspired this wreath but it is really an All-Occasion Wreath and is still hanging on our door and still looks stunning!

You can see this wreath being made from start to finish on our You Tube channel here: We added the bunting after the video was made and it looks equally impressive with or without the bunting. The joy of making this bunting is that the only boundary is your imagination!

Cracker Boxes and wine bottle wraps
These were the bottle wraps and cracker boxes that we designed and created in February.
There are free templates for you to to download on our Downloads page so that you can have as much fun as we did and each download includes a PDF Instruction Sheet with pictures. You can also see these being made on our YouTube Channel here
The possibilities are almost endless with how you can embellish and decorate these crackers and wraps to give totally different looks to each one!
They really wow the recipient and they can then re-use them when they give a gift. As much a part of the gift as the gift itself and such a joy to give.
January……
January jottings!
January is always a busy month in The Craft Room as many birthdays fall in January BUT we forgot to take pictures of anything we made so the only things we can show for January in The Craft Room are a couple of sketches that I drew (as opposite)!
A donkey because I’ve always wanted to sketch a donkey and a fun silly hat based on one that Albert has! I will colour it in at some point…..
We did however concentrate on a lot of planning for the New Year and future projects.
